TRABAJO SOCIAL: DE LA PROFESIÓN A LA DISCIPLINA / Social work: profession to discipline
Main Article Content
Abstract
Social work as an institutionalized, professional activity was the result of an ardous process of construction. Nevertheless, as Berger y Luckmann have argued, such constructions are products of actions from different social actors, who reproduce and transform them according to their intentionalities. This last point becomes the central argument to think about the conceptual redefinition that social work has experienced. In this article, I discuss both the professional and the disciplinary conception of social work, which are perceived as two dimensions of the same reality.
