Proposal for a Situation Report on the Violation of the Rights of Children and Adolescents from the perspective of Social Work
Main Article Content
Abstract
The following proposal for a situational report on the violation of children's and adolescents' rights arises from the interventive and reflective work carried out as a Social Worker in an Office for the Protection of Children's Rights (OPD) and in the Center for the Legal Defense of Children and Adolescents (CEDEIJ), both managed by the Asociación Chilena Pro-Naciones Unidas (ACHNU) and executed under the technical guidelines of the former Servicio Nacional de Menores (SENAME), today known as Servicio Nacional de Protección Especializada a la Niñez y Adolescencia "Mejor Niñez" (National Service of Specialized Protection for Children and Adolescents "Better Childhood"). This work seeks to propose a perspective from which to situate the intervention of Social Work in order to safeguard the rights of children and adolescents (NNA), in collaboration with the family courts and using as a tool the situational report on violation of rights to communicate what is the object of such violation and thus contribute to the bodies responsible for the administration of justice, protection and restitution of violated rights.
